Nobody here said he was the GOAT. And, Baukaw is more technical with some aspects of his game, but surely not his hands.

How do you see him against Baukaw p4p? I am not a huge muay thai fan so I would like your input.

I'll have to apologize for my tone but when people proclaim him as the fighter who beat the Thais at their own game, its insulting to the Thais, especially for those who did beat him.

Anyway, P4P, Ramon sometimes took too long to unload. His hesitation would cost him against a faster fighter like Buakaw, as it did against Superlek and other fighters. I can see a clearcut decision win but of course, Ramon would make it competitive with his toughness and power.

I'm not to sure, given how easily Buakaw took apart Mike Zambidis.

This little beast couldn't do a thing with Buakaw.

He was the best in the world at one point, and was known for being the foreigner who beat the best of the best in their homeland. Sure he lost some fights, who doesn't?

As most of you might now: Ramon is from Holland just like me.
However he is very unkown over here. Never have I seen him on national tv... no award... no statue.. no nothing.
I hate this government so much for that.
Same counts for the great Orhan Delibas and Regilio Tuur.
NEVER have to received a thanks for reprsting their country.
They are ''nobodies'' over here. Only a handfull of insiders knows who they are. ****ing ***** country, mother ****ers prefer hockey

Whats the reason for this? I was under the impression that Holland produced great Muay Thai fighters, maybe second only to Thailand.

I don't understand the disinterest really.

Yes that's right, we produce loads of thai-boxers. In the last k1 heavyweight tournament there were about 5 Dutch fighters. (And I guess 80% are non-Dutch, which means they are Moroccan/Turkish/black, but that aside) We have three public channels + 10 others but they almost never show thai-boxing matches. Let alone (amateur) boxing which is practically practised by no-one in this country!!
Holland is a very very small and rich country.. combat sports is just too tough I guess... the poorer a nation or country.. the more deternmind/couraged/fighting spirit they have..
(amateur) boxing is dead over here, just like weight-lifting, wrestling, basketball and baseball (indeed, the f*cking greatest sports in the world!!:-( :| ) The government even wanted to prohibite boxing a while back.
