    Haye's equally capable of landing that first big punch too. It's by no means a foregone conclusion either way.

    To the thread starter, I don't think anybody genuinely believes Bonin was particularly worthy of his WBC rating, it was more the manner of the win than the calibre of the opponent; Haye looked quick, composed and dropped the guy 3 times in 2 minutes despite being a non-weight drained cruiser rather than a proper heavy.

    If he's sensibly put on the extra weight, as seems to be the case, then his speed and power alone should be more than enough for him to beat 95%+ of the current heavies. I'm under no illusions as to his frailties, but I don't think there are many fighters about capable of exposing them without running a serious risk of getting sparked themselves.
