Any reason why Cambell/Ortiz is a 10 rounder?

I foresee a cut for Ortiz in this fight, particularly as Campbell is a blatantly dirty fighter, not to mention Oritz is a Southpaw who's styles it is to lean his head foward in an effort to keep his chin low.

It is twelve rounds. My question is why it's twelve rounds. Neither has a title.

You don't just make a twelve round fight because the combatants are well known. It has to be for a title.

pretty sure one will get a title shot after this....doesn't say it's an eliminator, but still

Does not have to be. There are many instances of non title 12 round fights. DLH-Forbes for example

You dont want ortiz to cry again do you? Its better for him to stay at 10 rounds. maybe he wont quit or get beat up anymore. He doesnt deserve to get hit and beat up when he fights does he?

This guy has lost me forever as a fan. I have no interest in ever showing him support after the madaina fight, it sickened me.

Yeah, there are exceptions but usually it has to be at least an eliminator or something. Something generally has to be on the line. Come to think of it, I can't see why DLH-Forbes was 12 rounds. It shouldn't have been. It was contested at a weight where Forbes wasn't even ranked (and neither of them even made 147).

Oscar's last two fights shouldn't have been 12 rounds. He didn't have a title, and neither Forbes nor Pacquiao were at the time ranked at welterweight so they wouldn't have been in an eliminator with him. :huh

Mayweather/Mosley would have probably been a better, more recent example. They didn't fight for a title, but it was a 12 rounder.

You know what's funny, they fought at WW, but they weren't forced to put the belt on the line; however, Cotto was forced to put the belt when he fought Pac. Crooked ass mofos.

ITs the special rules that only apply to Pac so he can win a title and make history. Thats why i see it as a tainted record.
