There were rumours MAB or Morales might fight Alex Arthur. He's supposedly fighting a "huge" name. Putting 2+2 together, considering its Frank Warren, its bound to be an old shot name Hopkins is in his rocking chair weighing up the options. I don't think he wants any young hungry guys. He's probably looking at Jones if Calzaghe/RJJ negotiations fall through, or a Trinidad rematch No idea who Mosley is supposed to be fighting
MAB said he wants a third fight with Pacquiao in an interview not long ago. Hopkins said he's open to negotiate rematches with either RJJ or Trinidad and Mosley is rumored to have Mayorga as his next opponent.
MAB has no business fighting Pacquiao a third time. He's one of my all-time favorites, and unless he had one final bout (that was winnable) I'd hope to see him hang them up. He has nothing to prove. Same for Hopkins, although, the prospect of a long-awaited rematch with Jones would be worth one more fight. Mosley-Mayorga?
That's the latest news about their thoughts/decisions as far as I know/heard/read, don't really agree with them. Hopkins' decision to rematch Trinidad was definitely worthless, but a rematch with Jones would've been alright. Mayorga vs Mosley is a worthless fight with Mosley brutally knocking him the hell out, that's for sure but still better than nothing and a good tune-up before Mosley fights Williams or rematches Cotto. MAB vs Pac is pointless, don't even need to say more.
Why not a rematch with Calzaghe? That is more "lively" to see than either RJJ or Trinidad, if it says anything about RJJ or Trinidad's calibre at this point.
