I am looking for some simple leather old-school boxing boots, preferably just a single color (black, brown, or white would be ideal). Does anyone have any suggestions?

One other thing I meant to mention is while I like the look of the Cleto Reyes leather boots, I tried them on and wasn't really a big fan of the way they both laced up the front and then zipped up on the side. They are made to where there is kind of a shoe within a shoe/boot, and I'm looking for something simpler with just laces.

Wear Reebok, the same ones Floyd wears. It's inexpensive, probably 80-100 use out the door with a 40 percent coupon

I think you have to sign up on the Reebok website, they give you some coupon for full priced items.

Thanks. I definitely like the Reebok shoes but right now I'm looking for something a little more old school that is leather.

explain old school. like a high cut, half calve "boot"?

try looking for used Pony brand on ebay or something. Ponys were popular in the 70's and 80's.

is this for you and personal use, or using it for a nostalgic prop? OOOOOLLLLLLD leather boots had flat leather soles without any grip. they used to step into resin buckets before the match to stop slipping on the canvas. that's why they wipe the gloves off when they touch the floor, so resin didn't get in the other man's eyes. since we don't use resin anymore those boots would be a liability.

Why would you look for something old school? Is it a nostalgic feeling, or?

I'd suggest going with something that is relatively new. Some people have this idea that the new brands aren't as great as those back in the day. But that's not true. Pick something from the list like https://thesportgurus.com/5-best-boxing-shoes-to-get-in-2017/ and you will be more than satisfied.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I should have been more specific and mentioned that these are mainly for a decoration, rather than actual use. I ended up going with a pair of all white leather Boxing Classics boots. I have a little collection of old school boxing gloves and was just wanting to add some old school leather boxing boots to the collection. I usually use Nike HyperKO’s or the Reebok shoes like Floyd wears when I’m actually boxing. I will add, however, that the Boxing Classics boots are really nice and aren’t that heavy. Plus they have a rubber sole instead of leather, so grip is good. I would have no problem with boxing in them, it’s just that I don’t want to scuff them up.
