Altough I didn't think the sentiment would hit me,last nighht while as I wa watching the pummeling he was taking from pillar to post round after round, especially in the later parts I was feeling sad for him not as much for this fight but for him as a fighter ,as a legend to go out like this, all his great moments were flashing in my head, the Trinidad fight, the Whitaker fight,Oba Carr,Quartey, the superb KO of Vargas, the Mosley fights, the Hopkins fight,Mayorga comeback......quite simply I didn't believe what I saw and I felt bad for him.
talk about people jumping on the haters bandwagon, if anything he took this fight to again promote boxing in a big way, and also to see inside himself if he really had anything left and he got his answer and fair play to him for that. He deserves more respect than people on here are giving him!!
Go back to the bar, and find a nice he she to give you sex for 5 dollars. You dont know **** about this sport. OScar and GBP and HBOPPV are ****ing over the public, financially. This needs to stop.
I'm just glad he lost to Manny rather Manny losing to DLH. I don't know how else to explain. I rooted for Pac from day one so DLH losing wasn't gonna change much.
I like Oscar and was a fan of his back in the day. Had this been a fight with someone his own size, I would have felt very sorry for him. However, he only took this fight because he saw it as a win due to Manny's size. I find it difficult to have sympathy for him knowing that.
It's tough no to like Oscar a soft spoken always polite with his friends and enemies he has made rich to few of his adversaries but father time is knocking on his door. Shocking when I saw Pac outweighting him his weigh was alarming gaining 2 pounds in 1 1/2 days was clear the wrong strategy he was flat and done after 2 or 3 rounds, perhaps the person who was close to him knew (Roach) something we did not see "he could not pull the trigger".
:thumbsup You're obviously a true keyboard warrior and know so much, i bow down to your brilliance :good
I feel sad for him for being humiliated by a perceived inferior fighter who was given no chance to beat him. I feel sad for him for expressing his humility to accept defeat. But in my eyes, he was a great fighter in his times. We should thank him for his contribution to the sport.
I feel he got what he deserved, Oscar saying anything less then a K.O would be a complete disaster for him. He thought he could get over on the smaller guy with a big name then say he beat the p4p best. I was rooting for Pac and did not think he could win. I am very happy with the outcome.
everyones day will come we all saw oscar beat up jcc we all saw roy jones play with all his opponents now what they have done to others got back at them
I'm not a huge fan of DLH, but any time you see a great fighter such as DLH, RJJ, Ali, SRL, Hearns, Chavez, etc... get beat like that when they are clearly past their best, it's kinda sad to see. Just like it's sad to still see Holyfield fight. If you are a boxing fan, you have to at least respect these guys for what they go through in the ring. And as for DLH, love him or hate him, he fought the baddest MOFOs around only skipping a scarce few.
I guess this means Pacman will end up working for Golden Boy!! Everyone, except Tito, who beat Oscar seems to get employment there
