Sadness for Oscar? Why? The guy is filthy rich. There are people living out on the street begging for food. No sadness for DLH.

whether anyone agrees or disagrees, i think he's done more good than bad for boxing. i mean, manny's more popular than ever, not like he needed dlh, but sure helped elevate him even more. maybe not boxingwise, but brought alittle bit more class to boxing showing you can use your career to jumpstart as a promoter, entrepreneur, etc instead of being a drunk, homeless *******. even manny told him he was still his idol, kinda tells you what oscar meant to manny as well. hopefully manny will be boxing's next golden boy

Not at all. He took a physical beating but he will recover and he has everything in life you could possibly imagine away from the ring. No doubt 30+ million is a consolation prize helps as well. Karma's definitely a *****.

I think it's always sad when you see a fighter who is fighting well past their prime. Ali took a beating, Jones took a ***** slapping and now DLH got a Phillipino ass whooping. Those stand out but there are countless others we could mention.

When you think back to some of the fights they have been in and the skills they showed compared to what we witnessed yeah its sad.

That being said Roach and Pacman deserve all the praise for the way they went about their business!

I did not want him hurt badly so I was glad they stopped it before he took more punishment, but I did not feel bad for him when he lost. Oscar never thought much about the guys he knocked out or beat up when he was on the winning end. He picked Pacman and exploited a smaller guy thinking he would beat him up and get a win over a smaller legend. But it backfired on him. What happened on Saturday was great. It showed us that even handpicking can still not work out like you want. And Oscar still was thought as a semi good fighter. This fight potentially hurts his legacy.

No I lost my last fight and got paid $400 for it. I also work a desk job for a salary he probably spends more a year on his kids wardrobes. He gets absolutely no sympathy from me. I'm a huge fan of his and loved watching him fight but I'm also a realist. I'm not mother theresa and have unlimited compassion and pity, so I'm not gonna go waste an ounce of any of it on some guy who takes private jets to/from his fights :deal

    Sadness for Oscar ?

No, he fought like a bum off the street vs a man small enough to be licking his shoe, he`s an embarassment to himself, his family, his fans & anyone that even believed in him at any point of his career.

He offered no resistance whatsoever & will always be a ***** from now til the day he dies IMO.

A tinge of sadness.....the guy has been a class act in and out of the ring for over a decade. He has fought the good fights and held his own, talked it up when he needed and layed down the accolades in defeat.
When you have grown up watching boxing your whole life and see a champion finished with such brutality so definitively it really takes away the romance of the great wins, the finese, and the undeniable golden talent that once was.
Lets hope Oscar hangs up the gloves....another beating like that would surely smash not only his pride but also his incredible drive for the sport.
Boxing more than ever needs guys like Oscar out of the ring to promote it!

At least JCC went out swinging..against Oscar - a bigger guy. What makes DLHs loss so embarrassing is that he thought he was picking another midget but instead got a beating of his life.

    Priceless.
