Thoughts ? Cant remember much i just remember jmm landing nice a few times, any signs of fade on jmm? Hope jmm does not give rios a shot after that robbery.
Marquez may be getting a bit too muscular. He seemed a tad stiff at times, but his ring IQ was as great as ever.
It went pretty much as I thought it would.JMM is never going to look spectacular when he fights someone who forces him to come and find him. I did like some of the combinations Juan was trying. I still have my resevations about how he'll do at 140.He's my favourite active fighter and I've had these concerns for a while but if he's careful in his matchmaking and fights other guys who have moved up he'll be OK. Rios is perfect for him.
He didn't look as sharp but Fedchenk was awkward and refusing to exchange. That PPV was ****, waste of money.
Good technical fight in which Marquez adjusted well, and there were some good exchanges in there. I'm not sure about JMM's conditioning; they said they were going for speed in this fight, but it could have been his early awkwardness trying to be the aggressor that made him look sluggish. I'd have to watch it again.
Bogo,I wondered what your thoughts were on last night. I've always had worries about him going in with natural light welters.Don't think he's quite as fluid with the mass. Pick the opponents right and he'll do just dandy though.:good
That's how you know Marquez got skills, he adjusted well to Fedchenko technical style. Combos were less, but with much more power, ****ing looking diesel man... Was about knock his ass out in the later rounds... but still his bread and butter are agressive fighters, but as you can see technical fighters can still be taken out..
Definitely.... He can do well against fighter like alvarado, maidana, peterson's plan A IMO will probably be to box so I don't know how would that go... I doubt he would pressure marquez knowing full well marquez is a beast at that... but then Marquez may just outbox him and work that body... Khan would be an interesting match but I doubt he getting past peterson. Nice small fights for him until PAC 4 then retire...or a morales farewell fight.
Looked stiff and his age showed a bit. Still schooled his opponent but he should have got the stoppage.
It looks like he really tried, but Fedchenko was running and spoiling like crazy in the last few rounds. He looked really beat up.
