The purse bid is scheduled for Monday (April 8).

But at this point it's quite obvious already that they won't go to Russia to fight there. They want to fight Kovalev in the UK. But to do that Frank Warren needs to win the purse bid. Which would mean paying 80% (of the purse) to Kovalev...

According to the poll I ran, roughly 50% of people think Team Yarde will pull out due to terms, 25% think he takes the fight and the remainder think he'll duck by another method.
    Time will tell....

Well, Kovalev is not necessarily the biggest draw commercially and Yarde is just an unknown foreigner, in fact.
To be fair, there should be much more interest in this fight in the UK. Even for Kovalev’s fans from Russia (and other post Soviet countries) it will be easier to travel there.
So, if the scoring is fair (the specific judges could be negotiated), fighting in the UK is not a bad idea for Sergey at all.

Kovalev might not be the biggest draw(he did well on HBO), but his entire career was basically forged stateside. He has had 1 or 2 fights in Russia in the past decade.

The obvious money seems to be either the states or UK. But hey! Russia has thrown some serious money around from time to time.

Kovalev might be persuaded to go to the UK for the right money. Afterall he did win his first world title in the Uk so should have good memories of the place.

There is literally less than a 1% chance of this fight coming off

Yarde and Tunde are proven bumberclarts and have no doubt already agreed on their excuse for ducking a genuine opponent

Yarde doesn't want the fight to be held in the USA because he is afraid of getting robbed.

That is his excuse, bottom line he doesn't want to fight Kovalev at all.

Yarde finds a way out of the mess. Probably injures himself after taking the fight to get out. He's a bum.

I wouldn't call it good memories...
It was one of the most blatant screw job attempts from a home referee I've seen in the last couple of decades, and he ended up giving the hostile partizan crowd the finger.
    Good times

Yarde is the baddest man on the planet. He is the A side, kovalev is ducking him. Ask Frank Warren he will confirm all the above. Yeah you may claim kov is actually the A side and you may claim he isn't ducking Yarde but since when did facts or truth mean anything
