Jesus. I do hope he dosent come back to fight. One of my favourite fighters and seems like a genuine nice bloke by all accounts. Also dont think that he would make light-heavy comfortably like others think he will.
He is so far from the version that beat Braithewaite its unreal. The guy is still young but the Haye loss has just ruined him mentally. Theres times he shows he still has something but then he just gets blown away as soon as he gets to the middle stages or something. I dont think 175lbs is the answer, he'd surely be far too weak?!
I was thinking this as well-he's not exactly a small CW and the weight drop from CW to LH is a big one. Talking of CW's, anyone know what's happening with Herbie Hide?
I hope he stays retired. He's a really nice bloke & I wouldnt want to see him risking his health. He wont ever get back to competing at a world level & he's in a division with some big, damaging punchers.
Loss of punch resistance is cancer to a fighter with as open defense as Enzo, he deserves to get out with his faculties in tact. Punch is the last to go of course and the bad thing is he could come back, spark someone out but this'd just be papering over the cracks Think Team Calzaghe missed a trick not sticking to tapping into the Welsh market stopping after only a couple of shows, definately something Frank could get Enzo Mac into
he should retire.i fear the worst if he dont. met him a few times and what a top bloke he is. i used to emphasise this in the run up to the haye fight as the absolute unjustified hate people(english) showed for him was shocking. much love on this thread though. :good
Genuinely hoe he retires for his own sake, I don't see how he can come back and reach any where near the heights of 1st time around.Plus, surely going to light-heavy would put him at even greater danger, he's not exactly a small cruiserweight is he?
I assumed he had retired to be honest. Cos like most people - heard nothing about him for the last few months. But then I saw a pic of him in a local Swansea Magazine - where he was at some event and having his pic taken with some kids holding his old WBU and WBO belts. He looked different - like he didnt look like a fighter anymore - he looked more civillian - more normal bloke - like he had left that edge / ego of being a fighter go.
