Seems every sence he tried to get out of his contract with Irish Ropes his career has come to stand still.:patsch He his highly rated both 154 and 160 and is big draw in New York City he and Pavlik would sell out the Garden:good Duddy could fight Sergio Mora both men need a big win:yep Or Yuri Foreman both he Duddy are big in New York City:hey How about a showdown between Julio Ceser Chavez JR and John Duddy:happy These are all winnable fights for John at 154. If Duddy wants a shot at Pavlik all has to do is win a box off with Sebastian Zbik to become the WBO mandatory:bbbI do think Irish Ropes was mismanaging Duddy a bit the Hill and Hearns fights did seem like good bouts for Duddy and this point, Hill because Duddy might have got cut in a low grade club fight and Hearns because 6'3 Hearns is a tough foe but pretty unknown Duddy would not get that credit for win over him:bart

50/50 for me, both would be exhausted by mid rounds from non stop attacking whoever gets that final knockout punch will win it. i loved the kirland-vera fight i think duddy-kirkland would be just as entertaining but closer

Just read an article on Duddy by thomas Hauser which made particularly sad reading. I don't expect to see Duddy any time soon while he's caught up in litigation with the crooked O Loughlin brothers from Irish Ropes promotions. It's a real shame as he appears to have been naive and consistently ripped off by his promotors/managers. John's at an age were he needs to be making hay not sitting in court rooms. Damn Shame if ya ask me.....

I am sure Duddy will do well now that he is free of Irish Ropes not only is he a good fighter but is a big draw here on Eastcoast. I have read that Alfred Angulo wants too fight Duddy what a war that would be!!!:bbb
