I think he is one of the most skilled fighters at heavyweight regardless of his substance issues and would love to see him get a title shot before he gets too old. I don't have an actual update, but my opinion is that he is done. When you are that talented, you have to earn your way. He is 36 years old, to date has never beaten a first class opponent, and this steroids scandal is the perfect excuse for people NOT to fight him. He squandered a very promising carrier on inactivity and scandal. Real shame, but Wilder and Wlad are not going to give him a shot out of charity.
