I used to be a huge Vitaly fan but he can't get out of bed in the morning without either getting injured or deciding to run for mayor.

WTF - either box and give 100% or do something else and give 100%. His lack of determination to do anything really doesn't sit well with me and it is not the characteristic of a true champion.

Wvlad on the other hand is IMO the #1 HW out there right now and I'd rather see him fight Peter again to clear his first win up. Aside from Peter, nobody in the division can beat Wvlad.

The comeback is slated for somewhere around October.

And with it now being July, I think its safe to say that Peter wont' fight anyone in the meantime, as there is not enough time, nor does Peter want to risk an injury, nor does he want to risk having someone pull a McCline on him. LOL

Vitali will thrash Peter in October, yes. Looking forward to not only the fight, but to everyone's reaction, afterwards. After they've seen how someone on Peter's level is reduced to nothing, in about 6 rounds by the cold, fragile, falling apart robotic Frankenstein, as they say..

    Can't wait.

Yes, after this fight, I look for Williams and Peter to start a support group, where they sit around in chairs in a circle, and talk about how the beating Vitali gave them has hindered their careers and self image, and they must all be open about what they are feeling, in order to help each other overcome this. They'll meet twice a week.........three times if needed, as they slowly try to rebuild their confidence and self esteem.

Did I mention that Kirk Johnson and Corrie Sanders started the group?

Go, VK. Take Peter OUT, like only you can. :good

I like Sam Peter, but the guy has a major beating coming.

But don't worry, Sam. Corrie, Danny, and Kirk are waiting, and are there for you, and they already have a chair ready.

He went beserk as soon as he learnt that his little brother has signed Corrie Sanders as a sparring partner for his upcomming encounter with Thompson.
Vitaly has been banned from Wlad's camp in order to aviod any riots there.:D

By the way Wlad has stated that Thompson told him that they had already fought each other.Wlad has obviously forgotten that Thompson was one of his sparring partners for his fight against...................aforementioned Corrie Sanders.

What's the odds on Quitali entering with an election campaign, getting his face cut open and then quitting on his stool?

Last I heard Dan Rafael said in a chat on ESPN that they are just looking for an arena and a TV network. He said it looks like Berlin will be the site and Duva is pushing for it to be on Showtime.

Regardless we should know something very soon.

Sam vs Vitaly seems to be staged in Berlin' s new O2 arena,a huge, modern indoor arena with a capicity of 19,000 seats.
I will try to get some tickets but dont have much hope to catch a single one as the seats will be sold out within minutes.

While he was on top, before his retirement due to his injuries, I was very high on Vitali, even more than his brother, and thought he was the actual kingpin of the heavies with that style of his, which faintly resembled Monzon in a way, of using his size, great chin, and leaning away effectively from punishment. His fragility and many injuries, and his long layoff at his age, however, does not bode well. I would be delighted, though, if I was wrong, and he could successfully come back and do away with the rabbit punching, rather chinny Peter, as well as the equally chinny upstart Haye.

Considering he's got a major fight due (at the moment) in just 3 months time, I really expected to see something from him. Even a vague "I'll be training here for so-and-so-weeks" or something.

I'm sick of this selfish sick note holding the division to ransom. Let his brother unify the division. All Vitali winning the WBC would do is confuse matters. Plus hes affecting Peter's career.

And could affect his brother's career even worse.
