Arthur & Warren should know tonight what the upshot is with regard to purse bids so should be some sort of announcement imminent I'd have thought.

Arthur fight claim is branded 'nonsense'

    by JIM BLACK

PROMOTER Frank Warren dismissed as "nonsense" Alex Arthur's claim yesterday that the outcome of purse bids to stage his world title fight with WBO super-featherweight champion Joan Guzman is imminent.

Arthur, the 29-year-old interim champion from Edinburgh, said he was expecting to hear by last night whether Warren had been successful in winning the right to stage the proposed world championship bout in Scotland.

But Warren expressed amazement at the claim, adding: "That is complete rubbish. Nothing is happening meantime."

ok, just what the **** is going on here then?

What is it with SN fighters and these PR gaffes? Arthur & Warren clearly aren't reading from the same page in relation to the Guzman fight.

alex arthur talks so much ****, he's been saying he's getting a world title shot for about 4 years, although i do think he should get a shot now, he's proved himself at euro level.

The minimum bid is $150,000 and bidding will take place at 10AM Atlantic Standard Time at WBO Headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Looks like its on, so when Arthur breaks Guzman in half, I want an apology from EVERY poster here who said this fight was a mismatch.
& remember, Im a right petty ****, with a memory like an elephant. I have a noteof ALL posters who deemed this fight a mismatch, & especially those who said Arthur would be humiliated.

I got your number ****ers. Cos I am going to bring all your posts up you disrespectful people. Arthur is winning this fight, thats right. So make yourself scarce haters. Cos Im going to humiliate you ****ers:D

I feel sorry for Arthur. First he thinks the title is his by not having to fight a top class opponent and now he's chucked in for a an head banging with Guzman. I want Arthur to win but I just cant see it happening.
