Just wanted to now if any other guys here is also planning on turning pro soon as well as to know what they thing of amature contests. Example: a) just to get experience and your record doesnt matter as long as you learn b) doing good as an amature is a sign you should turn pro etc
Amateur boxing is all about learning and experience, not winning every fight. And being good at amateur level doesn't necessarily mean you should turn pro.
Agree 100% percent with the 1st part but having a guy whos won 1 lost 100 fights in the amature ranks means IMO he shouldnt be thining of turning pro
who wouldnt want to turn pro man. Anybody who has ever stepped into a boxing gym has had ambitions of it im sure.
oh and to the op im interested in turning pro in the future not for a career atm but just to achieve a dream of mine to win a pro fight.
Most people do have that dream i guess. Not sure if the op meant turn pro and use it as primary source of income or as a hobby.
I WILL turn pro one day, its my dream and want a career out of it .. i work as hard as i can for the present and the results come in on their own
around right there, it's easy to have a winning record but that is still awful... atleast for someone who finished his pro career undefeated
I know of a guy whos had like 70 am fights and won only 10 but all by KO, but the thing is this guy is a quality operator and he can bang. Im sure if he did turn pro he woulda been very sucessful
