I think Miranda can win this... He seems to have straightened his punches and it is unlikely that he'll get pressured by Kessler the way Pavlik did.

Biggest problem for Miranda will be speed, but if he's able to straighten his punches a bit and pressure Kessler he could get him in position to land some bombs. And if he does, I think he can KO Kessler who hasn't impressed me in the chin dept vs. Calzaghe.

good insight, i honestly didn't believe anyone out there who thinks miranda could win...

IF im honest, i haven't seen much of Kessler...Only the fight he had with Anthony Mundine & each round that went by was just as exciting, oh + Joe-C

Im also aware of Miranda big bombs but i dnt see Kessler getting KO.

any Kessler expert out there has seen Kessler go down or even how his chin may fair?

Look, this is silly topic - obviusly with that right hand that threw Bans out of the ring, Miranda can beat ANYONE. But wll he land it? That will be seen on fight nights...

Sure he can win: he can get really lucky with a right, floor Kessler and have Kessler get up, jump him and catch him with a right hook and a left hook, have Kessler florred again and have the ref stop the fight before Kessler has the chance to get up.

i think Miranda will win by a stoppage and simply fighting him the way he did allan green. yeah kessler is not alan green but he doesnt punch as hard as green either. note kessler couldnt hurt andrade in twelve but mack dropped him in like the first or second. so he wont keep miranda honest and gets more pressure than he can handle.

then on fight night i am forced to eat my words as Miranda lets me down

I can't see it. Miranda is just way too passive to beat Kessler, IMO.

Does Kessler throw 60-90 punches per round like Pavlik? I only saw the Calzaghe fight and I don't recall him throwing that many.

I see Kessler catching Miranda with wicked 1-2 shots & founding himself on a different level compare to Miranda. which leads to each round passing by
to a likely KO...mid round perhaps?

I am not ready to pick, but I'm damned sure not counting Miranda out.

Why does everyone say no one can take that right hand of Miranda? Pavlik took a bunch of clean rights from him and was fine, also Pavlik is in a weight class below Kessler.

Kessler does not apply pressure and Miranda is not getting knocked out at 168 by one punch so he is a very live underdog. Kessler is a far better boxer but he is to complacent in the ring. When he tags Miranda and Miranda is still there coming at him trying to take his head off. I think Kessler's **** poor movement will allow Miranda to put him down. He may get up. But he seemed discouraged from taking punches by fighters like Calzaghe who dont have half the power of what Miranda has. The point his Miranda is a lot stronger at 168 so he wont gas out and he is always a one punch threat against a guy like Kessler who is not a mover.

I think Kessler will jab Miranda to death with the occasional right hand and uppercut coming in.

    Late TKO

None of Mirandas right hands landed clean. Pavlik was coming forward and he was going backwards. He did not get the leverage he usually gets. Kessler does not fight coming forward constantly like a Pavlik who initiates a brawl. BIGG Difference.
