Agreed. Monitored hormone use should be legalized. Bio-identical hormones such Testosterone, Growth Hormone, Thyroid Hormone etc. SHOULD be legalized for professional athletes because most of them NEED IT. But serum levels should be controlled.

This is especially true for pro boxers whose bodies go under ridiculous amount of stress in the ring and training camp. Dieting down for fat loss, over-training while in caloric deficit, intense dehydration before the weigh-in, injuries, mental and emotional stress to perform, ALL these wrack havoc on one's endocrine system. Most professional athletes have lower Testosterone levels than your weekend warrior.

Pro athletes like boxers need to replenish these deficient hormones for the sake of their health first, along with the recuperative benefits that the mentioned hormones bring.

Hopkins is a perfect example of a careful and smart hormone management by a competent anti-aging doctor.

I do disagree with designer steroid use because of their unstudied health risks on a human body. Test, HGH, thyroid and other bio-identical hormones should be good to go with proper testing to make sure the athlete stays within normal physiological range.

A lot of this wouldn't be a problem if guys would just sack up and fight in their natural weight class. Instead of trying to cut as much muscle, fat and water as possible so they can make weight and punish smaller men.

    Good point. Agreed.

Going back to age thing, Paulie M. made a good point in one of the videos. He said whenever the drug testing becomes more stringent you can see the statistics start to drop and the sport gets younger....
