Anybody else a fan of BOTH Ward & Kovalev?

Like both guys

 

I am, both guys are an amazing talent and I felt the first fight was awesome.

 

I have nothing against Kovalev I think he's the real deal. I'm a bigger fan of Ward though.

 

I have full respect for Wards boxing abilities and achievments but i just find the man himself seriously unlikable and cant think of a fight he has had where i wanted him to win. I have no such problem with Kovalev.

 

I agree too many people nowadays are fans of boxers rather than boxing and it makes for some frustrating reading at times on this forum.

Watching "fans" argue over matchmaking is a particular bug bear of mine. All the talk of ducking, purse splits, who is the draw etc. Most of the time what people are really saying is "I like X fighter and would prefer him not to lose" (or the reverse if hating). As a brit I wanted brook to win but I'm still glad the fight happened and I got to watch it, credit to spence for being the better man on the night. As a GGG fan I wanted the ward fight to happen even though I heavily favoured ward. You want to see big fights happen and boxers dare to be great even if it doesn't always come off.

Anyway to topic I'm a fan of top level boxing so I enjoy watching both fight. I prefer SK and want him to win as the whole god bothering thing with Andre annoys me, but I try not to let it influence my thoughts on the fight. I think ward will neutralise Kov and win clearer this time around.

 

I like them both. Thought Kovalev won the first fight. Think Ward will win the second one.

For some reason, I'm having a hard time getting hyped up for this one. My gut tells me that Kovalev is not gonna bring his A game, and Ward will fight more carefully than the first one.

Tried to like Ward after the Super 6, but he has always rubbed me the wrong way. I can appreciate his skills, but that's about it. Not really a fan friendly style and I don't like his persona at all.

 

I like both fighters. As a neutral, as long as it's a good fight, I'm happy.

 

I like both guys, the whole debates about those two guys from their so called "fans" are just childish.

 

I'm not a fan of Wards style but I'm sure he's a decent bloke...

 

You're not allow. I like both. They do what needs to be done in the ring. Kov destroys people and Ward wears them done. Both are exceptional fighters!

 

I respect them both. I like Kovalov's style and dislike Ward's style. While not a massive fan of either in general, I am a massive fan of the matchup and very much look forward to the fight.

 

I appreciate Ward...I think you'd be a ignorant fan not too. But...Kovalev won the fight. The poll on this forum was 70-30 in favour of Kovalev. HBOs highlights of Ward winning was him clinching...? I'm not here saying Kovalev didn't lose rounds - he did. It wasn't a shutout....But Kovalev won. The rematch will settle it hopefully (now I'm bias towards Kovalev because of the judging) but in the second fight...I hope this can give fans closure to who is the clear 175 best fighter.
