Anybody Else Commending Margo For Not Fighting Mosley?

It all depends on who Margo decides to fight next and how long before his next fight takes place. If he fights for instance Cintron next then Margarito deserves to be ridiculed whether the fight takes place in 2 months or in six. If he fights Clottey instead around the same time he would have faced Mosely then he should be commended. But if he either doesn't fight at all until Cotto is ready or fights some tomato can in the interim then he again deserves the ridicule that he would inevitably get.

 

If he didnt want to fight shane then he shouldnt have called him out and been talking **** about him. Nah Margo punked out its that simple. Make all the excuses you want it really comes down to what Williams said. Margo isnt going to risk the payday vs Cotto. Problem is that isnt a 100% thing, it still depends on Cotto winning his next fight which isnt a sure thing, because we dont even know who he is fighting.

Who else is there for Tony to fight? He's not rematching Williams or Clottey. The Cotto rematch isn't until next summer.

Don't forget, Oscar said he would "definitely" fight Margarito next year. Margarito may be planning something interesting for Oscar-Paq fight weekend.

 

It all depends on what Margorito does next. I'm sure he and Arum know a thing or two that we don't. I get the feeling he is playing it safe and banking on a Cotto rematch paying him more than a Mosley fight. Or maybe he thinks he has a solid chance at a Mayweathr or DLH fight, I don't know.

But Mosley is still a top 3-4 welterweight, a big name, and a very good payday. Then beating Mosley(which he would) would give him a higher profile putting him in a lot better bargaining position for those other fights. Its too early to totally dump on Margorito because we don't know what his plans are but at this moment it does look like a stupid move on his end.

 

I'd rather see Margo fight Clottey than Mosley.

Arum ok'd the deal with shane and said that he hoped Margo would take the fight..Nah dont put Arum in this mess. This is on Margo and his management team or I should say his wife who has been on record saying that Margo wouldnt fight fighters that are better then him anymore..

 

Blah blah blah...Margo back his ****ing fans in a corner and you cats are coming out swinging with all kinds of bullsh*t excuses...two months ago Margo fans was saying that he didnt need to fight Clottey cuz he already beat him...You cats were also talking up the fight with Shane...Sad thing is that was only a few weeks ago and very easy to find....I should do it just so I can clown some of you...Not you because I dont remember you saying anything about the fight but Margo fans in general.

 

i do. it's a pointless fight in the division since cotto already beat mosely. williams is the only fighter i want margarito to face, and i dont applaud him if he turns williams down.

You are totally correct. This appears to be all Margorito turning down this fight. But I'm going to assume Arum has reached out to other fighters as well and maybe there is some sort of plan B he may have in mind and Margorito is going to take a gamlbe on it. If not then this looks like a real bad move and the blame lies totally with Margorito.
