Same here. I'll probably sopcast the fight to see what happens... but if I miss it, I won't be sad at all.

I'll watch it but not really looking forward to it especially when I know that if Jones wasn't beyond shot as he is Calzaghe wouldn't have signed for it.

All the talk from Joe AND his dad was about Pavlik until Pavlik taxed their boy's ass so bad that it put the fear of God in them... well, maybe not Joe, but I think his pop CLEARLY showed some fear in how quickly he started dismissing Pavlik as being an inferior quality opponent when compared to Jones. The funny this is that I would actually pick Joe to beat Pavlik at 168.

This is just typical of Joe's career. Immense promise and huge let downs in what has been done with it. That performance against Hopkins was horrible. Early on, it was shocking how easily Hop negated Joe's swarming style. If he had been a few years younger, he would have probably stopped him. Jones, style wise, is totally different than Hopkins. That rough inside stuff was never his game, and his faded reflexes (and courage) are likely leave him just running away and posing enough to get a couple laughs on the way to a loss. If Jone DOES manage to win, I think Joe just cashed in the last bit of stock he has an international boxing draw. Pavlik would have been the far superior opponent.

worthless fight imo...2 fighters on their way to retirement grabbing their last payday, its a win-win situation which doesn't involve any risk at all for calzaghe

I don't see any reason for this fight. Jones dosent even have a belt. Should have fought Tarver or Dawson first. Jones should fought for the vacant WBA title to show he's not totally shot. Then Unify with Cal in the next fight.
