I hope you can handle looking like a giant Vagina on ESB after what you've said in this thread :good.
Funny how boxing's changed. Back in the day if a guy lost, he just got back on the horse and fought again the next month. Now, a guy gets knocked out once and is seen as damaged goods.
I dont feel bad for Cotto, he acted like a crybaby leaving the ring without an interview the way he did. Cotto left many guys in the same situation he was in tonight after the fight, they took their losses like men he should of tooken his as well. I did feel bad for Cotto's family though.
Exactly... Margo has moderate talent.. Cotto should have been able to box him and beat him in a decision.. I cant stand it.. just like I couldnt stand Taylor vs Pavlik fights.. but in fairness I think Pavlik is a lil smarter than Margo in there but still... both of those fighters that lost SHOULD HAVE been able to beat them each in a decision... they have the better talent.. better tools... :?
I've looked back to Lacy sitting on the steps next to the ring giving an interview after his loss to Calzaghe as an example of how a guy should carry himself.
Ok, jecxbox, I have showed you respect and you talk to me like this? **** you, dude. You're asshurt because you're a fan of a particular fighter, not the sport of boxing. I have no respect for you any longer.
Yea because how can you beat something that's can't be hurt. After the first few flush shots that Cotto gave to Margarito he knew he was in trouble.
And I just knew the fight would be over after Cotto got up from the first knockdown.. his face told the story.. and he knew it.. which is why hes smart.. Margos too dumb to think its over if hes in trouble..
I agree with every word. I was upset that Cotto's kids had to see that. No need, they shouldn't have been there for this.
Funny how you talk **** and accuse Cotto of 'folding'/quitting. But with all due respect to Duran, WHAT the **** happend in New Orleans?
That's exactly what I've been saying also! It's a shame that so much stock is put into fighters having perfect records these days, I think this is what causes some top end fighters to flop after a big loss. It seems they don't know how to handle the pressure of losing since so much of their marketing from their promoters is geared towards them being "undefeated".
Duran folded like a pathetic quitter, what do you think happened? Do you think I'm going to lose my objectivity? The truth is a man's game. Anybody who doesn't like it can get back in the kitchen with the girls.
I feel bad for him, because he did almost everything right. But he has heart and guts. Plus he never ducked anyone
