Anybody else feel bad for Margo coming into the 9th?

They kept asking him most of the night was he alright.....I think that the HBO guys hit it right on the head early when they said, Margo often loses early rounds then comes on strong but Shane is the wrong guy to do with, because he also comes on strong at the ends of fights, and that this fight had a different feel because Margocheato couldnt get going, and everytime he tried Shane would sit down and bang him with right after fright...I knew in the 5th when Margo started backing off that he was done, and it was a matter of time. I told my wife I think Shane is going to stop him at that point.

 

:goodif US Cotto fans for the past 6 months or so have been forced to watch HBO highlights and replays of cotto getting KO'ed over and over again...Margarito fans need to do so for the next couple of months watch highlight reels and replays of there man getting KO'ed :yep

With his attitude in the ring it was the only proper way for him to go out. Even though he got his ass handed to him, at least he can say he never quit trying.

i felt bad for cotto doe, but margo had steel wraps.so he never beat cotto or even cintron.

 

Some days we wake up and we feel like a champion, we feel invincible and take on the world, and then someone like Mosley arrives, kicks us in the teeth and knocks us back down the earth.

Seeing a champion fall always feels like a human tragedy because it reminds us that life is never perfect, we are all flesh and bone: even our champions get beaten.

I had huge respect for the margarito coming into this fight. I gotta admit, the loaded wraps are dirty. Even so, it was tough watching him get beat down so badly. Much props to mosely hes an atg.

I wanted him to win but if your defence is way below amatuer level, thats exactly what you deserve.

He looked terrible, a bit like the 1st half of the Cotto fight except he never got stronger from 7 onwards, his opponent did.

He knew he was beat and going to get stopped but he wanted to go out on his shield and not just be pulled out of the fight.

 

The one fighter that should be kicking himself is Cotto.Cotto fought a Margarito fight, not a cotto fight. Mosley fought the fight that Cotto should've fought. Stay away from the ropes and fight margarito inside and go to the body, body, body. I bet Cotto will fight margarito a different way later this year. Hopefully they'll check Margarito's wraps to make sure the cement is not there. After Cotto tortures margarito then the rematch should be Mosley vs Cotto.

Margarito deserved what he got, all cheaters do.
