anybody else find hayes inactivity more annoying than his failure to fight a klit?

So it seems he's either fighting in may or june then?

why the wait? does he really need 7-8months to recover from the audley fight?

this is what really annoys me about haye far more than failing to make the klitschko fights, its the ****ing ridiculous inactivity

by the time he gets in a ring again, if you go from the day after the ruiz fight to the day of his next fight (lets give him benefit of the doubt and say may) he will have boxed 3 rounds in 13 months. and those 3 rounds were against audley harrison. and he threw about 5 punches in 2 of those rounds.

its just crap, id like to be a haye fan because hes exciting but its not really like following an active boxer

i guess its a matter of 'time between fights vs quality of opposition' and haye has and absolutely ****ing atrocious ratio in the past few years

i just think if youre only going to fight every 9-10 months or so then they have to be good fights, and if youre going to fight easier fights then why not have more of them and make more money?

Most top fighters fight twice a year, don't see the big deal myself. I'd rather see him fight in march and then october myself just to break it up a bit but as long as he fights twice a year :)

Between his dismal level of opposition, his fight frequency, his loud mouth persona, his impending retirement, Vulgar publicity stunts and generral bad taste, his Valuev/Harrison fight et cetera...

I would conclude that he is a disgrace to the noble sport. He won't be missed.

i just think when youre fighting that irregularly though they should be 2 decent fights, or one really good fight and one easy on

the political **** that happens with title fights can be unbeleivable, if you give in to everything your lifes sighned away, What do you do, ignore all legal and promotional advice, tell them they now **** and fight anyway, as a boxer haye is on the sidelines when it comes to this ****, the only time he should be criticised is between the ropes, . its not the boxers but the people running the show in most cases.

and actually i think if youre gonna have easy fights then have more of them, hed get slated on here if he did it but im quite a casual fan and i wouldnt mind seeing haye do a bum of the month type thing, i know those days are gone but theres no reason he couldnt have say 5 easy fights in a year

surely hed make more money too, and build a much bigger fan base

Haye's philosophy is to have big breaks as you need 4 months to build fights up.......

The inactivity is a joke it really is...but tbh he's not only one...

yep but unlike someone like mayweather, he hasn't done anything to justify these incredibly long breaks.

    True.

When i start hearing fighters talking about retiring at early ages like 31 then i'm done with em. There not in it for legacy and not in it for love of sport Imo they may have loved sport but the money and bright lights changes them...

This guy supposedly gets a ''warm feeling in his stomach when about to go to war'' yet he wants out at 31.....

To be honest you can blame a fighter for getting out at 31, Boxings a brutal sport and if you can get out of the sport rich with all your facillities then your doing well. Would you rather he fought til he was 40 and crippled himself just to have a good "legacy".

As for the inactivity it bugs the crap about me, Elite fighter should be having at least 3 fights a year minimum. Im one of Hayes biggest fans but 2010 has seen my interest in him decline and if he has another year like that he may as well retire.

His inactivity is annoying and all the Haye - Wlad negotiations have gone on to long,i was looking forward to going to see the fight, now I'm just looking forward to the Froch fights this year hears hoping he makes the final against Ward and i think i will go that.

Context of it mate......Haye's made a time limit and refuses to give a good enough reason to make it acceptable. There's no good claiming to be a warrior and a hero of British Boxing who fights for his ''fans'' yet hardly ever fights and hasn't exactly fought many fights either.

To have a good legacy he just needs what 18-24 months...hardly gonna cripple him or take him to 40 to achieve. It's different with Floyd Mayweather...he doesn't make out he loves the sport or is in it for fans. Haye does.....that's why i've lost respect for him.

    Yes, this annoys me.

If he'd fought Chagaev and Adamek in the past couple of years then I wouldn't have minded the Harrison fight so much.

Fighting so rarely and then choosing the fight Harrison in his last fight was ridiculous.

It's 26 months since he fought Monte Barrett and he's fought 3 times. That works out as once every 8-9 months. WTF?
