Before the internet it was nearly impossible to keep up and be excited enough about fights, honestly, it was so COLD that I wasn't really a hardcore fan back then, just followed some here and there.

I don't find it hard to follow boxing, but sometime fights like Mosley and Mayweather which are scheduled 4 months down the line makes it hard to get excited about it. That is just so much time in between. I know they need to promote and train but March 20th would have been better in my mind. It gives less time for an injury or for something to go wrong with the promotion.

How many of those fights are in Feb and March? We're talking about right now Kirk. There's NOTHING right now. When you're getting excited about Mabuza and Holt, you know there's a lull in the action. The spring heading into the summer is the hot run. There's nothing right now.

None of this is now and none of this is confirmed. Right now they're all "could be and possibly" stuff.

Because you're looking towards May and June where the big fights are. You're looking at the future. We're talking about right now. It's just very slow right now.

But as you said, it's hot and cold. Right now things are cold and people are pointing it out.

You can't celebrate the Hot and ignore the cold portions.

Nobody even mentioned the UFC. Again boxing fans look petty when they talk about MMA for no reason.

Boxing is doing a great job of destroying itself.

Fighters and promoters can't see past the next PPV where they can completely **** the fans, without stopping to think that if they keep this up, there will be no fans left in a few years.

Look at the bull**** over trying to get Pac and Floyd to fight. I don't care who's wrong and right, if you can't get 2 guys who are supposed to be the best going around, to fight, for the best part of $40 m (a completely repulsive amount of money to be honest), then the sport is ****ed.

I don't care about needles, blood tests, **** tests, whatever. Those guys should be gagging to fight each other. No, they should be MADE to fight each other.

Same with the Klitschko brothers. They're brothers, we get it. Either fight, or one of you drop a belt so we can have a unified champ. Simple. It's not the WWE with gay little factions and pretend 'gangs'.

Honestly, I care less and less about boxing every year. I can't remember Hagler, Hearns, Duran etc arguing over ****ing drug tests or other crap. Those guys wanted to fight each other. Can you imagine Hagler and Hearns going on like this..

"Oh, I'm not fighting Tommy until he has Olympic drug testing. How can he go up so much in weight and not be on roids? My crack addict Dad reckons he is, so that's good enough for me".

"I'm not getting a blood test 3 weeks out from fighting Marvin. That will drain me. No, I'll pass up the chance of proving myself thanks".

And fans let them do it. Stop buying these bull**** PPV's, and we might start seeing some proper ones....

Im not going to start complaining because boxing goes a couple months without big fights... in December we had Williams vs Martinez, Bradley vs Peterson, Diaz vs Malignaggi 2, among some other low level fights, Next month we have Pac/Clottey, Abraham/Dirrell, among others.

again... im not going to start saying its hard to follow boxing or im not excited about boxing right now because theres been a two month lull in action (and again, like you said, thats subjective, as im just fine with the valero/marco, adamek/estrada, johnson/mack, fights while im waiting for some more meaningful matchups) i mean, if we were going on 4 months now without some good action or decent matchups, then i could see where you guys are coming from for sure, but thats simply not the case.

I dont know man, i guess we just have two different perspectives on it... to each their own. :good

    Sort of for me.

With football just about to end though, I'll probably crank back into hard.

Work and school dont bother fight nights, I just have found myself going out more instead of staying in for the fights.

    *****,*****,*****...Moan,Moan,Moan....

Plenty of Boxing going on and plenty of good fights being made, when there ain't boxing on television I hit up the torrent sites and check out classic fights from the past and fighters who I haven't seen.

Before the internet it was really horrible to keep up with the sport, now atleast we know the results from around the world and can sometimes stream them...Back in the day it was impossible to do that.

That fight would've been pretty boring anyway, don't you think?
