THE fight has finally happened, Mayweather won and is officially the best fighter of his era, Manny Pacquiao lost and is still a warrior, great champion and absolute legend....but wow am I ready to move on...

I'm far more interested in GGG, Crawford, Thurman, Wilder, Lomachenko, Canelo etc. than I am in May or Pac's next fight....time to move on to the next era of boxing and I cant wait.

Yeah. I can;t wait for the pair of them to retire either as I think boxing will be better for it.

Haha felt the same way, was reading some of the "who's next for Floyd/many" columns on other sites and it just occurred to me how little I actually give a ****

I'm glad it's over but it's not over until both fighters retire and take their fanboys with them. Pacquiao fanatics have come full force with a ton of reasons why their guy lost. OK, so the injury may be real, but give it a rest. Mayweather won and it wasn't close. There is no interest for a rematch. Give him his credit. OK, so he moved and did not stay still like Margarito. Pacquiao and Roach knew that. I thought they said they had a game plan and they were going to overwhelm him. I seriously think Pacquiao injured that shoulder throwing at air because he showed no signs of injury at the weigh in or before the fight. If he seriously was hurt before, he should have postponed the fight. A lot of big fights have been postponed due to injury.

It will never be over for the deluded masses seeking any opening to discredit Floyd's accomplishment and imagine that if [--insert excuse--] did/did not happen the outcome would have been different.

I'm happy it's all said and done. Hopefully fans from both sides will stop bickering and we can focus on other fighters

ugh tbh it doesn't feel like it's happened, not with this injury s*** popping up. I need to see them fight each other HEALTHY. I need an even playing field, so I can truly know

    Concur.

Even though I'm not Floyd or Manny I feel like a weight has been lifted off my own shoulders.

The incessant hype was so dominating it became oppressive and there's been nothing but hostility between the two sets of fans for over half a decade.

We can finally put the saga behind us - hopefully people leave it there.

no but we can get a good fight. i know we can. there styles are made to give a good fight, it's just pac f'ing boxed. if he would've just used his style it would've been a great fight
