Anybody else OK with Canelo/GGG fighting diff opponents come Sept???

I would be fine with it. I don't really care that much about the rematch to be honest.

 

Man, you're really overhyping BJS because of his win against Lemieux.

 

Canelo is going to fight with Spike in September (confirmed), so no. Who the hell thinks honestly that Golden Boy Promotions would let Canelo to fight Jacobs?
Also BJS is going to price himself out from the GGG fight.

What did you make of Sanchez's statement over the weekend about how G is never going to be unified champion because Saunders won't fight him because he's asking for so much $$$?

 

I'd rather them get it over with or Golovkin fight Saunders or his IBF mandatory in september.

 

That sounds spot on except they may have GGG fight in Sept near the same week as Canelo-Spike. At the end of the day it will increase sales of GGG-Murata

 

He beat World Champion Andy Lee, Lemieux, Spike other notable wins too.

BJS is a proven champion slick as they come. He out slicked Willie Monroe Jr who is one of the slickest in boxing

 

I don't care who Canelo fights after he gets out of ped prison. Would be nice to see GGG Bolivianize Saunders though.

 

I just don't understand why any fan would want to see Canelo Golovkin 2 delayed further. It's not as if this rivalry needs more time to be built up. Don't you think fans deserve to see a decisive conclusion to Canelo Golovkin as soon as possible after what happened last September?

I just don't understand the desire to see Canelo or Golovkin fight any other opponents in September. I mean fans demanded this fight for the better part of 2 years and they made a big stink about Canelo delaying the Golovkin fight back in 2016. Then we get the fight last September and it was a classic but fans can't stop *****ing about the decision and now some fans on here don't even want to see the rematch it's weird as heck.

There's no bigger or more important fight than Canelo Golovkin 2. And both promotions have expressed a desire to make the fight happen in Sept. You're talking like Canelo Spike is more likely than Canelo Golovkin and I just don't get that.

The one thing I will say is that in DLH's recent statement he did say he wants Canelo to be more active and stated he wants him to fight not only in September but in December of this year also. But I don't think the Golovkin fight is as big in December as it is in September. I'm not saying it's a done deal or anything, but I think the most likely scenario is for Canelo and Golovkin to fight in September, and unlike last year if there's any kind of a controversial decision and a 3rd fight is needed, this time we may not have to wait 8 months, we could see Canelo and Golovkin complete the trilogy in this calender year which would be awesome.

Are you disapoointed in BJS for pricing himself out and asking for Anthony Joshua $$ to fight Golovkin? It sounds to me like BJS is hoping Canelo wins because he knows he would make much more $$ by fighting Canelo than by fighting Golovkin.
