Anybody else think Pacquiao beating these guys at a catchweight will hurt him(Pacman)

roach is setting a weight as low as posssible but would accept a middle ground or slight above it once team cotto would put their own weight condition. as i said, roach don't care if message board opinions would pass this victory as great victories, what matters to him now is get the biggest fight, get as much advantage without giving much out of them. he even said that he was right all along with oscar. he doesn't care if people on the message boards will put down that victory.

now same thing here for cotto, if the fight happens at 147, some people would just say that the size difference is too big and pac finally hit the limit. so a better weight to fight for two different sized fighters is to have a catchweight in between where both would get some kind of credit if either one wins.

 

c'mon.. pacquiao starts his carreer at 106lbs.. give him a chance.. dont force him at 147lbs.. he fought DLH becuz he is at 150+lbs and sometimes 160 at that time so they meet at 147lbs.. and cotto is only at 147lbs! he can go down at 143..

 

I think Sugar Shane is desperate enough to take the fight at 143.

 

The delahoya weight drained excuse went out the window when manny destroyed hatton at his own weight. Manny was just that much better than delahoya at the time period.

 

Are you kidding me?, people are already saying Cotto is damaged goods and the Pac fight isn't signed yet.

 

People are overlooking that because Pac just keeps proving people wrong over and over that some people can't believe he's doing what he is. :deal

 

Now that I think about it, Pac/Cotto @ 147 doesn't sound too bad. I believe Cotto weighed @ 146 against Clottey and I think Manny will still carry his speed and power at that weight. The only thing I'm worried about is Cotto ballooning to 155 or 160 come fight time while Manny normally just gains 4 or 5 lbs.

it's because he's willing to step up and mix with the bigger guys eventhough he's way smaller, that catchweights are somewhat considered now..

theres been so many rumors about this fight,i dont know what to believe anymore...

my bottom line opinion.....i would like to see it at 147, but i understand the catchweight......

and i think it should be 144 and no less or more....thats my 2 cents

 

Vic darchi has called out catchweight manny . To come down and fight him at a catchweight at 123 and one half pounds.but said he did not want his boy to get hurt by vic. Talks are still going on please stand by.:d
