He Wants The Biggest Pay-off For His Last Hurrah, thats Why Hes Taking This Fight.he Wouldnt Have Taken This Fight If It Wasnt His Final Big Payday.
He'll Give It A Go For A Few Rounds Then Go Into A Shell And Try And Get Through The 12 Rounds Relatively Unscathed And Millions Richer.
    Simple.

Actually, this post would be a lot more accurate if it were describing Calzaghe.

Why? Calzaghe is an overrated ***** who's never beaten an elite fighter throughout his entire career, and only now, as he nears the end, is he willing to take a risk for his legacy, which he no doubt knows he will lose, much to the dismay of all his loyal fanboys.

Yeah Hopkins doesn't have a hope in hell of beating the Joe that fought Kessler. Hell I wouldn't even think he has a hope in hell of beating the Kessler that showed up that night too. All I have to say is that its going to be one painful pension to collect. Useless of course B-Hop made JC promise not to hurt him before he signed on the dotted line.

The problem with Hopkins is that he's almost too smart for his own good. I can't see him going out there and giving everything he has left unless he thinks he can win. In other word if its looking like he's gonna lose I'm pretty sure he'll stop taking big risks. Just hope Larry and not Max is doing this fight if he tries that.

When Hops fights an elite without having some sort of inbuilt clear advantage(smaller, out of shape, weight weakened etc)He LOSES.
    Take a bow RJJ,Taylor.
Hops has no advantage here, its simply defeat and adios.

If that were the case wouldn't he have got his son (Oscar) to put it on PPV? And perhaps at a bigger venue (Yankee stadium, as he was originally saying) to get a bigger live gate?

If Hopkins wins a lopsided decision, will you concede your post would have made more sense depicting Calzaghe?

You would do that but you are not Bernard Hopkins. He is the underdog here and he is the OLD Man going in there against the young lion. I think this position motivates him. Bhop isn't looking for a "PENSION" fight or a nice pay day b/c his money comes from promoting.

This is peanuts compared to what he gets paid putting on fights. So no...he is coming to win. the question is "Will he win". That I don't know but the cards are stacked against him right now. I'd be very surprised if Joe can't beat this version of bhop.
