Anybody else underwhelmed that Groves is chief support for Froch?

Depends who it is against... doubt you would get lee and groves on same bill.

 

Depends on who he fights. If he just ends up fighting another foreigner we've never heard of in an eliminator or Kenny Anderson for the European title then yes.

If he gets the likes of an Abraham or a Dirrell then that would be good.

 

who cares? will be watching champions league final anyway.

 

It's funny how, after so many cried out for Groves to rematch Anderson, that it's now being dismissed! I still think it will make for an entertaining fight and would be a decent co-feature.

Lee-Barker figures to be a wipe-out for Barker behind his jab and straight right.

 

Versus the winner of Abraham/Steiglitz would be a great fight, but Eddie is not an idiot, whatever he does with the undercard will not effect the PPV numbers much at all.

 

Anderson II would be decent along with another strong fight IMHO. I just don't think the undercard is is going to be that great though on CL final night with a good main event.

 

i actually wouldnt mind seeing groves vs anderson ii. the build up alone would be worth it.

The only way I could see it happening is if Hearn does a deal to have Groves on HBO. In which case he will have extra money for an opponent and we could see someone decent. I mentioned Oostizeun which would be a better fight than Barker vs Lee for me. Groves vs Magee would be on par.

You never no we might still see Groves vs Xxxxx Xxxxx and Barker vs Lee on the undercard.
