Anybody ever consider the possibility that Ortiz is a Tune up for Sergio Martinez?

It would be a cool outcome but I don't think that is the case unfortunately. But who knows, maybe he will surprise us. Even though he got some hate for picking Ortiz, many people also respected that decision to fight him, so we shall see after the Ortiz fight.

That's because he's a WW. Anyway, if the Martinez fight actually made sense, I believe he would take that fight at 154. However, it makes no sense for him to fight Martinez. I don't buy the whole "he won't fight bigger guys" nonsesne. He's done it throughout his entire career.

I'm a Floyd fan to the death but he was between 158-162 vs Mosley who he was clearly bigger than, and the same vs Marquez, there is a reason he refuses same day weigh ins nowadays.

Floyd has never weighed that much for a fight. He weighed 159 for wrestlemania and he was officially retired then and didn't even think about coming back. And that was with clothes and jewelry on

    :think Idk
    thanks :good
Normally I wouldn't, but the way he said it sounded beleivable. He wanted to gain more weight, but trained too well and couldn't gain any weight and he's come in before to WW fights at 147

It makes no sense to fight Martinez over Pac. Less money, more risk.

If he did this I'd begin to think the blood testing is seriously a genuine issue for Floyd.

does anyone know why he doesnt do weigh ins on fight night? what does it matter even if he is 160+, is it because he wants people to see him as a small welter and therefore dont ask him to move up?

There's no way in hell Floyd weighed 147 vs. Shane on Fight night. That's just ridiculous. We all saw how much bigger he weas then Shane.

It's the DLH tactic. They have enough clout where they can request not to have fight night weigh ins. It adds suspicion.

    147 is probably right.

BBALL, just give back gayweather's balls and he will be 157.

I would love to see him beat Ortiz, say in post fight interview take the tests or STFU to Manny, Top Rank, Freddie, and anyone else associated with them. Assuming they played the "I'm too small, I'm too scared, I'm superstitious, etc, etc) then give him the ultimate **** you, by fighting and beating Sergio Martinez. Seeing as how Manny, his people, and his fans believe Sergio is too good and too big for little Manny. I'd love to see him **** Martinez up...then retire for real.

    I would love to..........

Do you always start a statement with "I would love to..... or I'd love to"?
