    Canelo is absolutely no Hagler.

He isn't even proven to be Robbie ****ing Simms, yet.

So he is less than half a Hagler.

So **** off with these Leonard vs. Hagler vibes. (even though Mayweather himself is no Leonard, he is a whole lot closer than Alvarez is to being Hagler)

Happened 5 years too late. Great it happened but still, the mystique of it all had faded when 87 came along. It was still a huge buildup, but not what it could have been if it happened a tad earlier.

I'm more leaning towards the vibe I got when my kids were born.
    Nelson Mandela being freed?
    The end of WWII?
    Live Aid?

    That sort of thing.
I'm old enough to remember the great buzz about Leonard-Hagler but it's like Vitali-Adamek compared to this momentous bout.

While an exciting fight, it's no where NEAR Hagler-Leonard.

I'm not trolling, I'm dead serious. If this fight ever happened, I would put alot of my real money on Mayweather and cash out.

    :good

Not even past the driveway, let alone beyond city limits, let alone down the many stretches of miles upon miles of highway to even begin to come upon signs for the Hagler vs. Leonard exit.

What I think he's trying to say is , Floyd will use a similar game plan, as Leonard. Canelo is no Hagler, but he's a young strong, poise, and fast boxer, who imo could presents problems. Floyd just keeps taking the toughest fight out there, giving the fans what they want to see. A true warrior of the sport indeed.

If this fight ever happens, I think Ray Leonard would put a lot of money on Floyd given that he's 57 at the moment.

I don't know man, did you see him skipping rope on Season 2 of The Contender? :think

That man is still agile like a cat! (or was, seven years ago)

    I wouldn't exaggerate like that!

It's a step down sure but it's the best fight boxing that can be made in boxing atm. It is very relevant to both of their legacies.
