Mormeck's moving up to heavyweight, has been out of the ring for 2 years, and has a lot of wear on him. Not to mention the fact that he was viciously KO'd in 2 of his last 4 fights. Maddalone's basically a club fighter but I think he's got a real shot here. He'll be the underdog but a live one. Does anyone else think he can pull off a win here?

    Me.

Id favor JMM but only 60/40

Vinnie is a tough customer for a first HW fight. Especially after such a long layoff JMM had...

I think Vinnie will win by points but i havent watched French boxing much, lots of robberies?

Maddalone is always a live underdog. Mormeck has been in a lot of wars. It depends on how good he can take a heavyweight punch

Vinnie is a nice guy but doesn't have world class skills. Mormeck would have to be awfully faded to lose to Maddalone. At best Maddalone has a chance to go the distance.

Yeah, Maddalone has a chance, of course, but I think he will probably lose.

I dont think that he will be the a huge underdog against the ring rusty French based Mormeck.
Maddalone is tough, can take a punch, and has stamina isnt that bad.Mormeck will probably be out of puff after 3 rounds.
    Madda by point decision:good

Pretty much how I see it. I think Mormeck's move up in weight and the layoff make for a good equalizer for the limited Maddalone.

Exactly. The only real chance Maddalone has is if Mormeck is WAY gone.

Mormeck should look for softer targets after his long absence from the ring.

JMM is better off not fighting at all...

This guy took a lot of powerful punches throughout his career and a move up to HW could even give him brain damage :nut

JMM should just call it a day. He had a pretty good run while it lasted. Or if he wants, he should do what Golota and Adamek did, and fight Tiozzo in Paris. That fight would be pretty big there im sure and would generate some good cash. Both are shot old men now so what do they have to lose?

I sure hope he wins. He deserves it.
