Anybody Got Any News On Kelly Pavlik?

As these guys start getting eliminated from the tourney they will be coming off a loss, or in some cases, two losses back to back. They won't be anxious to jump in with Pavlik or Bute.

In some cases they may even be considered damaged goods. For example Froch struggled with Taylor, struggled with Dirrell, and got beat up by Kessler. If AA knocks him out, he's damaged goods, or at least that would be public perception.

If Abraham loses to Froch, he'll have two straight losses, and the allure of a Pavlik/Abraham fight will be completely gone.

I'm about 90% sure that Kessler will KO Allan Green. Allan Green coming off two straight losses is a useless fight.

Going forward it needs to be either Bute or Cloud. And right here and now, I'll let you in on a little secret. Tavoris Cloud looks like a beast, but under the surface lies a 5' 10" slugger who's open to left hooks, right hand counters, and can't fight going backwards. (Sound familiar?)

 

Perhaps he could fight Brinkley so Bute doesn't have to.

But a Pavlik-Andrade fight sounds good. Not sure Pavlik would win that one.

 

Pavlik vs Andrade is a good evenly matched fight

 

He was suppose to be moving up to SMW. Haven't heard anything new about that.

did you see him getting his jaw wacked around when he fought Lucas?

if Lucas had more power Andrade wouldn't be leading with his face like that.

He won't play that **** with Pavlik

 

Most of the under card bouts seemed to lack a little fire and I don't remember him specifically. I'm bad with names. I remember the Peters bout and the Russian kid. Well, Jake..... But none of the fights were memorable unless you count the comic relief provided by 'Big D' or whatever his name was.

 

Herm, we are working on a pro/am card with Jake headlining and Chris Hazimihalis on August 13th, in Youngstown.

 

Andrade's head always moves like that. That's why he doesn't get ko'd. His head doesn't absorb the energy of the shots. In fact, he's vulnerable when he doesn't see the shots coming and when his head doesn't get whacked around.

Pavlik-Andrade would be a good match up.

jsimps had said that kelly was working out w/ a nutritionist to take the weight off prior to the martinez fight and everything was going along fine until the last 5-7lbs. it just wouldnt happen. i wonder if they are using the same trainer/nutritionist to put the weight back on now???

and if not...and the move is skip smw and move right into the lhw division...i would love to see mackie shilstone in the camp. the man is world class and regardless of what people say about kelly's head and mental state...with mackie, his body would be peak. :deal

 

I wish he went to 175... he would get knocked out in less than 5 rounds

It looks like it's definite. We should be able to sell the place out with both Jake and Chris on the card.

We were offered to promote an ESPN televised event here on July 30th, but it doesn't seem like it'll happen, due to short notice.
