    De La Hoya said that the fight is close to completion couple of days ago, since then we haven't heard nothing.

    With the fight being scheduled for May 1st, camps can take their time with negotiations & announce the fight mid Feb if they wanted to & still have time promote the fight properly.

    Notice how his previous 2 or 3 fights were all high drama diva schoolgirl **** but he signs to fight Clottey as quick as a flash.... putting the final nail in the coffin of a fight with FM - the one man that can match speed & talent with him & who doesnt come forward the way MP likes his opponents to :think.... wake up n smell the ****, your hero aint half the guy you treat him as.

    The Pacquiao-Clottey & Money-Mosley situations are completely different & not even comparable to each other.

    Pacquiao & Clottey had to sign the fight contracts ASAP so they could fight on March 13th, had the not signed the contracts quickly they fight would of been pushed back to a different date.

    Floyd & Mosley fight is scheduled May 1st, it's end of January at the moment, they can take their time with negotiations & contracts so they can handle issues from each camps properly.

    Not to mention that Pacman has an election to deal with,so a fight had to be made fast or there would be no fight at all-at least until say July or August maybe.
