You mean the number of mugs?

Big Abdul would not say but he gave the impression that the Sky initial forecasts were not met.

If true and it didn't meet Skys prediction somebody on here said it wouldn't be as nearly as big as people predicted over here.

My memory went years ago, Was it you Pro Punter?

I did say that the late start time around 5am meant that only a very small percentage of pubs bothered with the late licence.

Big Abdul works for Sky Sports in a senior role.

He let us know that Money v Pac was on Sky Box Office 10 days before it was announced.

    He recently stated the following:
    1. Sky have seen a much higher %age of subscribers cancelling than expected due to the recent Sky Sports price increase.
    2. Sky have been inundated with complaints from subscribers about the obscene sums paid to the English League.
    3. Complaints increasing by the month on the poor quality boxing on Sky Sports and the Sky Box Office events.

They know that boxing in particular is failing to meet the standards expected which is now impacting on the loyalty and retention of customers.

The time issue and lack of British talent meant Mayweather/Hatton numbers were never on the cards. 350k sounds about right. £7 Million minus overheads, is a nice chunk of change for Messrs Murdoch, Mayweather and Arum...

Yes it was simply all about money for both boxers and TV companies.

Big Abdul was clear that Sky were very disappointed with the figures although he would not give the figures.

He gave the impression that Sky forked out to much for the fight and barely made any money after the deduction of all costs.

Let's hope the mugs learn and boycott all future PPVs starting with the O2 at the end of this month.

Dodgy late night off licences reported a 20% increase in beer sales on Saturday night.

    Cocaine dealers reported 30%.

    For forty-one PPV buys.

    This country. :-(

That figure I have given is a guess and if I am honest I think it sounds about right as well. Defo can't be more than 500k. Its late night.
