now i aint gonna lie and say that i sat there and scored the fight...but the fight that i saw, was controlled by steve at all times....sure adamek had his big moments, but aside from that, he was basically just following him around hoping to land something....steve IMO was controlling the ring, and adamek whenever he wanted to....****, he even got into slugfests that he didnt have to, but that did cost him bigtime..... i dont know though, i just enjoyed the fight and i dont think having steve up by 2 rounds is bad....but being that he's the champ and fought his heart out, i thought he deserved the close rounds and the W on his record..... adamek's chin is ****en crazy...3rd time i've seen him and he's a solid mutha****a !!!! :good:good everything was good until they boo'd steve, that was shitty
I agree freddy. I believe I scored it something like 114-113 for Cunningham. It was such a close fight and there were many close rounds but it just seemed like Steve won most of the rounds that he wasn't knocked down in. Can't wait for this rematch.
I don't think there will be a rematch anytime soon. Regardless, I scored it six rounds apiece. With the three knockdowns, my final tally was 114-111 Adamek.
I scored it for Adamek by a few points. I thought Cunningham threw flashy but largely ineffective punches and that Adamek did a better job of controlling range, and he threw the much harder shots. I can see where you'd have it really close, but it's tough for me to see a Cunningham win based on the three KDs.
I was hoping Cunningham would win, but I had him down 2 points going into the 12th when my Tivo cut off. So on my card Cunningham needed to floor him to get a win or draw.
Anyone else the the first knockdown was kinda bogus? Serious question, as I was watching a shitty, laggy stream in which the commentators spoke Polish, so I couldn't really get a idea of whether there was any controversy, but it seemed questionable to me. BTW, I thought Adamek won it, but only by virtue of the KDs
I had it for Cunningham by 2 points 114-112 just like the one judge. I actually scored it as I watched it. I can see how people would disagree with me especially if they didn't score each round as the fight went on. If I hadn't been scoring the fight round by round I would have thought Ademek won. I was even a little surprised when I added my scores up. One of Ademek's KD doesn't get him a 10-8 round on my card either. It was a 10-8 round for Cunningham until he got KD in the last seconds of the round. I think that effects my card compared to others as well. I just don't hink Adamek was busy enough in a lot of rounds. He was just walking forward without throwing anything. Just chasing Cunningham around.
I had Adamek by one point. The key point in the fight was the knockdown in the fourth. If Cunningham had stayed up it was a 10-8 round for him, but he punched himself out, got knocked down, and it was a three point swing to Adamek.
