People are exagarrating Ruiz's inactivity a tad because hes Andy Ruiz IMO. But still no. By not taking the 2nd fight seriously he robbed himself of any interest for a trilogy.

If he beats Jarrell Miller(who he is fighting in 2 monhts) and looks good I guess hes going to fight a top opponent. But I'm guessing it'll be someone other than AJ. Maybe he'll fight Zhang or Parker winner for the WBO interim belt that never is seemingly never going to get unified with the real title?

Do you have any doubt that Lennox Lewis was a better fighter than Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman?

How can you exaggerate his inactivity if he literally fought twice in over 4 and a half years?

Because some people think hes basically retired when the last time he fought was in late 2022 and he then had surgery.

Ruiz was extremely inactive since AJ rematch. He has fought only 2 times (both times against 40+ y.o. opponents), compared to 7 fights of Anthony Joshua.

Even Usyk who doesn't fight often has already had 5 fights during that period.

It definitely seems like he's retired.

Joshua will always struggle with an on form Ruiz; I think he is happy avenging his loss and never sharing a ring with Ruiz again. And I say this as someone who likes Joshua.

Same - it's not an interesting fight to me.

Beating Miller would still be better than anything Wilder's done in the last 4-5 years, though... And people still want that fight :lol:
