Anybody notice the 3rd round knockdown was identical to a move from the 1st fight?

First off, it was a gob of vaseline. Secondly, he was getting tagged good, 1 for every 3 Manny threw against the ropes, but he wasn't on the edge of death.

You are exactly right. It's practically the same punch that JMM stunned PacMan with in the first fight (the gif you have), and the one JMM used in fight #4 to knock down PacMan in the third round. The big difference is the distance. Look how far Pac was from JMM, and how far JMM had to extend to reach him. It was a good punch, but JMM did not put his weight into it and Pac was just a hair or two out of reach. In fight #4, Pac is in perfect distance and JMM put a lot of mustard into that shot. Look at his face and the ferocity he threw that punch with. He put a lot of mustard on it and fortunately for JMM it landed. I don't think Pac was too hurt, but it definitely shook him and his confidence for a few minutes.

Cant be.... JMM has never 'sat down on his punches' against Pac before  Havent you been reading ESB?

That gif is obviously an arm punch tap.

In all seriousness, good find :good

I think she was better looking in the first fight. She had more ethnic features at that time, but that nose job she got makes her look too caucasion for me, but that's just my preference.

wow. that's crazy how marquez has used that combo several times... pac should have just eaten the jab to the body and kept an eye on the overhand right.

Anybody else noticed that new right hook feint that Pac was throwing?
Not really a feint, more like a "fakey", as in he will complete an overly compact and short hook, more like a parry of sorts really, masked like a hook.
JMM fell for it at least twice and covered up.

What I noticed was that instead of missing his right hook and falling in where JMM could hit him in the body like the 3rd fight, he hung back after feinting with the right and threw low where JMM's head would be, always finishing with a hard right jab/hook hybrid. Great strategy, picked up off from when Manny started throwing uppercuts in the 3rd fight. It's something else I saw work well for him against Bradley, who always ducked down to the same side from his shell and started eating left straights.

Watch the whole third round. Marquez landed a series of right hands hard to Pacquiao's stomach. When Marquez bent low to throw that right, Pacquiao was expecting it to be aimed again at the body, when he realized it was coming upstairs, he had a split second to brace himself but just could'nt.
The shot totally caught Pacquiao off guard. Watch Pacquiao's right hand start to go down to block the shot down low to the body when then he realizes its not going there.
