    Was the HBO fight not yet announced for the 9th when Top Rank set the date, or are they just idiots? Wouldn't it be worth their while to just cut their losses at this point and cancel it? Or better yet, bump it up a week to February 2nd - as no significant fights are being televised to compete with that night?

    Can someone please explain to me why this supposed "prospect" is ONLY fighting on PPV? How in the world is the guy supposed to become a legit star if he can't even get HBO exposure? What kind of thinking is that, honestly??? I don't care if he has the name, very few casual boxing fans have ever even seen the kid fight. EXTREMELY stupid course his promoters have taken so far in terms of building him up as a star attraction.

    30 years ago big name prospects were developed on network TV. 15 years ago they were developed on ESPN and HBO. Now they are developed on PPVs seen by 50 000 people tops??? SMH.

    Tell me about it :dead . The best possible thing they could do for him is throw him on fnf and/or hbo. Unless they are thinking that they better get their money out of him now incase he's a hype-job :yep
    But in all honesty I can see him coming along good from fight to fight (thank god for youtube and piracy :lol: ), but (as you said) if they want him to reach star/superstar status then they better let the whole world see him and quite honestly casual fans are not going to buy those terrible cards to see a prospect; let alone the hardcore fans that think its ridiculous. ******ed business tactics......:patsch
