The author seems to be anti duran. there are a few instances when he has good pop at him, but the most glaring example is in the pictures. below a picture of the srl fight, he says that there first fight was hotly disputed i have never heard this statement before about the fight. duran won it clearly
its not a bad book, could of been better, hotly disputed my ass, plus he interviews the wrong people some times, not a bad effort though
Decent book. Makes a nice addition to the collection. Its only out in hardcover, so it costs a fair amount of money.
Watch the fight again on youtube then tell me how clear it was. It was a great fight that could have gone either way.
is this the one called "hands of stone: the life and legend of roberto duran"? i'm a big duran fan and have been planning to get it, but keep pn forgetting. is it a good read? any one recommend it?
Some of quotes in the book, the english translation is not accurate. Overall a very good read, and some new info on Duran.
