Maybe that boy Burton would be a decent opponent next.

I asked him last week if he got a call to go spar Chisora as they were only fighting a week apart........but he didnt hear nothing.

Maybe that was down to a Gilmour/VVarren thing now that he's Pro.....or Chisora didnt want a handling like the last time (Someone elses words......not Gary's)

    Woulda made sense though......i reckon.

    Anyways :good

Was referring to Burton being an opponent for Andy Young........not Gary Cornish.

    Excuse ma mixup/lack of sleep.

Anyways.....was thinking......Dallas would be a good test for Gary to showcase his attributes/talents after a few more tuner's perhaps.

Ayes, people was talking this at weekend...and McAllister losing aint gonna help them being on supporting bills etc.

Would of liked to have seen him and Andy out again in early April if they was having 4 rounder's.

Anyways...least we will see Jasper back after the hand fracture.....its healing well if i remember right.

Ive heard good things, people say hes better than Lee was at that time, but seeing as **** all of his fights up until Murray were even televised I cant really compare. Hopefully guys like him and Traynor can pick up some more fights outside the north east.

    Just found this on youtube...

1st time Ive seen him & I think he has potential. Athletic for a guy his size & entertaining to watch, if he has a decent chin he'll be in some fun fights.

First time i've seen him, thanks for posting that.

First thing i see is a big man who's quite mobile, light on feet and is co-ordinated with it. He does little half steps back, moves around well and also looks like he's natural to being in a ring. Loose guard, looks relaxed and seems to have a idea unlike other heavies of what he wants to do.

As DrMo rightly says, he's got potential you can see there's something to work with there. What struck me from watching that and then looking at record is fact he doesn't seem to punch his weight.

Things i'd like to see him work on is:

Keeping Range, Make more use of the jab the flicking jab should only be one part of your many jabs. His balance when throwing punches he often falls in and smothers work. He often misses with hollywood shots, he needs to pick his shots and make sure they land. Focus on balance and punching with authority. Not every punch needs to be a hard one but at times he needs to really lay it on the opponent.

I liked the movement of the head and the variation in punches, just needs to get the fundamentals down pat. Billy's right we need to see someone who's his size fight him and punch back.

Promising fighter and still a baby by heavyweight terms at 24.

Considering age, size and quickness he looks interesting, be good if he could spar some top heavies and develop concussive power.

If you guys think Gary Cornish is a prospect, god help the future of british heavyweight boxing. The kid makes every mistake in the book, so I can't see him winning much, unless he gets some good schooling NOW.

I now realise why I don't come on here much these days...you guys talk too much s@#t :patsch :)
