How on earth is it an excuse?

When did BHop last KO someone? He's still one of the best on the planet.

Floyd doesn't have the power nor style to KO people early what is hard to understand about that? He breaks people down and takes the decision or late KO. Manny gets in and out and throws a high volume of powerful punches which is much more effective at getting early KO's.

If we were talking fmj vs Pac then you can use the "styles makes fights" answer to predict the outcome of that match

but were talking about who beat hatton better..
Pac took 2 rounds, Fmj took 10 . Who beat him better?

    Really..?

    this is what you said
The bolded qoute means both wins were equal no? like no point compairing them coz they both won right?

They both got the job done yes, clearly Pacquiao did it in more emphatic fashion but as I said to me that doesn't matter because they have different styles. One is more catered to knocking opponents out early the other isn't.

Look through the history of boxing you will find examples of this. Taylor-Hopkins, Pavlik-Taylor and Hopkins-Pavlik.

Lol, you still dont get it....

People use Hatton as a yard stick to who has better skills as he is a common opponent. It dont matter about about Taylor-Hopkins, Pavlik-Taylor and Hopkins-Pavlik fights as their not Hatton, fmj or Pac.

If you break boxing down to its basics, it about beating the other man. People compare the hatton fights because he is the opponent that both boxers had to over come to win, they took the same test.

Pac passed that test better, as he figured it out earlier

Fmj has the power to KO his opponents, but pacs uses that ko skill better than fmj

HAHAHAHAAH. Why doesn't Hopkins Taylor and Pavlik matter? Are Hatton FMJ and Pac the only boxers that count for this silly theory of yours?

My point is STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. Pavlik is more accustomed to knocking mofos out and he struggles with lateral movement. Taylor was decent back then but had no lateral movement so Pavlik dealt with him. Hopkins struggled with Taylor so then people think "Oh Pavlik beats BHop easy" ERRRRRRRRRRR WRONG!

The same thing here STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. It doesn't matter what happens between them because at the end of the day they both won and it will matter not one bit who beat who faster when it comes to the two fighting. Pacquiao is more suited to knock out Hatton early, Floyd is more suited to breaking him down and doing it late. They both did what they are good at.

They dont matter coz theyre not pac, fmj or hatton. We are talking about why people use hatton as the Yardstick for fmj and Pac

Pac also breaks down his opponents if you havent noticed, he hasnt lost a round since cotto... Pac is not all about KOs

Pac has the skills to win by decision and by KOs, there is nothing wrong with comparing a common opponent, what it proves is Pac adapted quicker and finished his opponent quicker

Style aint nothing if you cant ADAPT as quick :good

*****s can rationalize all they want about how Floyd will beat Pac, but as long as Floyd himself doesn't share their confidence, this fight will not happen.

It's amazing to see grown people ignore a fact that's right in front of their faces - if Floyd wanted this fight, it would've happened long ago.

But, let's pretend this isn't so and continue to fantasize how Floyd will make easy work out of Pacquiao. ;)
