i watched tyson vs spinks via closed circuit in a large auditorium where they do plays ...not a theater, but they had a giant screen on the stage....it was electric to say the least...no one felt cheated after 2 boring under card fights and spinks wasting 30 minutes scared to come to the ring...and 91 secs of the fight...

I watched Hagler/Hearns live by satellite in portsmouth guildhall at 5.30am along with 3,000 others & it was pure unadulterated Mayhem:lol:

Never ever forget the atmosphere, yer could'nt here a word from the screen as 3,000 sets of tonsils leapt forth, the place was split 50/50 & even the riot police drafted in joined in the primal atmosphere as they too roared at the action & we all left together as one united brotherhood some in a shocked daze (hearns fans) & the others with disbelieving ecstatic face splitting grins as to what we had witnessed as we all set out into the early dawn rain & the booze hangovers were a mere trifle of inconvienience as i set off for home 30 miles away to get changed to go to work & be 1st to spread the word to the philistine's that Hearns had been blown away in 3 rounds by the Marvelous one. Oh happy ****in days indeed:happy

Can you drink beer in theaters? That would be a deal-breaker.

Anyway, where exactly do they even do this? I'm in the USA, and have never heard of a theater broadcast.

Is it live? If so, how exactly do they project it? (it can't be on 35mm film stock)

    Mayweather-Mosley and Mayweather-JMM.

Good experiences. (despite two of my favorite boxers getting their asses kicked )

Yup , Saw pac v mosely. Was in the phils and family didnt have the cable for the PPV. Id rather watch it at the comfort of my own home. Vomiting in between rounds at the cinema is too much hassle..

Maybe its better with a clear head?

i watched mayweather vs mosley in the theaters. it was nice experience for me, bout 20 bucks a ticket, the have a little bar on wheels were you can get drinks or buy snacks.if you in the vip there is waiter for you waiting when you sit down. now when i went there playing the fight in 2 theaters, one was filled up and the other had only bout 20 people in there.so my experience was quite were i could here the commentators and the in between rounds. the other theater was going crazy when i went passed it.i think you will like it, me and buddies are going to get a private theater for manny and floyd if they fight.

Beer in theaters? if you live in the U.S. very doubtful. Unless you want to sneak it in

as for where it's done, to my knowledge www.fathomevents.com had the listings for all the previous fights at movie theaters, just put in your zip code and go from there

yet nada so far, so if anyone has any news on theater listings for Mayweather-Ortiz please let us know

yes it is live, they project the same broadcast one would get if they bought the PPV ... but as to how it's projected exactly no idea
