I am white, Pavlik is white, but that makes no difference. Regardless of whether he was African-American, Asian, African, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Australian, or Arab, I would still be a fan...it all comes down to the fact that I like his personality and his fighting style.

well he is white and I am too but I'm a french canadian so I don't feel like he is not closer to me than any black boxer

I am white and I have rooted for more black fighters, than whites, over the years. This time I am rooting for Pavlik - he just happens to be white - not my fault..........

 

What is this, 1850? In my ever changing list of favorite fighters, the only white guy who has any real permanence is Jerry Quarry but I'd love the guy if he was any other color or nationality.

 

It's not important to me, but then again I'm not a big Pavlik fan. I just like him because he's exciting and has interesting fights. Equally, I don't like Taylor, because he's not an exciting fighter and doesn't have exciting fights.

 

Yes some united states white boys need to represent. Us whiteys are stuck with a bunch of club fighters and bums. Whats our claim to fame Butterbean, Peter McNeely? How many championship caliber American white boys come along? Taylor is still going to win though.:|
