anyone see the trouble at the right of the Ring seemed lots of police involved...seemed more wallopers out last night more than normal .
It was brutal trying to move around at the arena entrance due to everyone hanging around at the bar and the drinks etc spilled over the floor was shocking. I dont see why they should even have a bar at these events. Too many have too much to drink and fancy themselves as boxers too. There were hundreds of them walking about with the two invisible TV's under their arms. Not to mention its a pain in the arse constantly having to stand up and let all the pissheads past you every five minutes on their way to the bog.
I was there last night, opposite side from the trouble mind you. Wasn't sure where to look when I walked in, that many aggressive looking folk about, just kept my head down and never made eye contact wi people. The bogs were a disaster zone, guys just pishing in the corner of the room when I walked in, whilst the coke users waited for the cubicles.
That's one good thing about the kelvin hall- I think it's a dry venue or at least was for burns winning the title, and it looked like an electric atmosphere as for neds in Glasgow...who'd a thunk it?!
Pretty sure I heard the section of the Appleby support in the corner next to the screen singing "Stand up if you hate ricky" and "Feed the Weegies, let them no it's christmas time". Needless to say I think they would have been out their depth with the coatbridge fans if it kicked off
aswell as shouting racist obscenaties as well ...they werent singing stand up but were singing feed the weegies i dont understand why we cant all support the same fighters,at the end of there day there scottish
To many guys there with the Glesga tan for my liking. A few rowdy ladies there too, stayed well clear of them as they looked like they could have kicked off at the least wee thing. Seen the trouble, cops seemed to have been on it staight away. The bar got closed at 10pm, i went to get a drink before Burns came on but got told it was closed. Thought the show was good right enough and would go back to a Burns fight. But i paid for the ringside seats and was sat next to alright people.
