Yeah mate it was absolutely rammed birds on hen dos and everything the sound was ****ed up and the signal kept cutting out. Surprised by how much people were supporting Groves. When they read out the decision there was a massive cheer. What about you?

Although i had it for degale i dont think anyone can complain if it went each way (or a draw) it was a very close fight would like to see them both go off and build up their careers then come meet each other again on a world stage. Definitely think Degale can take loads of positives from this

I had it a draw or one round to Groves depending on how you look at it, the first 5 rounds Degale looked clueless and as i have said in another thread it seemed he was banking on Groves turning up having not worked on any of his weaknesses which is crazy considering what was at stake for both of them. At the end of the day Degale lost out because he wanted to counter punch but Groves wasn't going to play his game, why his corner didn't see it I don't know..

Me and my mate I watched it with had it to Groves by a round or 2. DeGale was lost in the first half of the fight and literally gave rounds away by not doing enough... Even Warren himself admitted that in the post fight interview.

Groves won it, he outboxed degale for longer periods and made him miss alot, saying that it was very close

I had Groves by two clear rounds and degale is lucky he didnt get a point or two ducted, Groves clearly one and landed more shots just because you plod forward doesnt win you a fight. Another epic commentry by Jim watt amazinly gets it wrong everytime.
The best man won does Groves give him a rematch, i think not fight done onwards and upwards maybe they will cross paths again.

Watts commentary was fine, he scored the 8th 10-10, I personally had it for Groves, if Watt done the same it would have been a draw.

Someone mentioned that Jim McDonnell whispered something to De Gale prior to the decision which indicated they got it, I believe it was possibly Watts scorecard.

For me personally i had it 1 round to Degale, first 5 rounds Degale never really got any shots off and it looked like he froze for a while but he definitely came on strong towards the end of the fight, a draw to me would have been the fairest result and most people wouldnt have argued with that result, wonder what happens with Degale now, the defeat could be the best thing that could have happened to him....

Would I be right in assuming all the people who gave it to Degale also thought Valuev won? It seemed George was using the same tactics that got Haye the crown.

The fight stats contradict your view...what you are really saying is that you don't like artful fighters who box on the back foot and you scored the fight accordingly. If De Gale does get a world title it will be via a telephone call like with Cleverly and not in the ring...last night he looked hopeless and clueless at times.

It's very interesting that more and more people are admitting that they scored the fight for Degale, even boxing predictors on youtube such as these random guys [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKrwoLpo_lw]HERE[/ame] , [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pezYFI5InBg]HERE[/ame] , [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3AFovlZZxE]HERE[/ame] and [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVVPfBkSfhA]HERE[/ame] all say they had Chunky by two rounds , and for me if you watched that fight without bias it was clear that Degale finished the fight stronger and was the only one pushing forward the whole night,

I'm quite confused with how things work in the UK i must be honest, Dirrell boxed on the back foot against Froch and people said he lost because Carl was more aggressive even though Dirrell outboxed him, Groves boxes on the back foot and was rocked quite a few times in the fight and was under pressure from the 8th round onwards and yet he gets the decision?!! imo the UK's best prospect has just been totally screwed, i had him winning by at least two rounds, the most Groves deserved was a draw imo, but they've put their eggs in George's basket it seems and let their Olympic Gold medalist drown :? ,

I hope James isn't too disheartened by this and comes back strong, i suggest he goes to America and works with Floyd SR, he doesn't need to box in a country that doesn't appreciate his vast talent, and as for Groves, Froch said he wants the winner so after Ward deals with him in the super six final hopefully that can happen, Groves won't survive at heighest level imo, there's just too many deficiencies in his make-up.

115-114 Groves! Degale should have had a point deducted!!!! I'll be honest i thought George was going to get stopped late but he showed his talent. FANTASTIC

I had DeGale winning by 2 rounds. On the night i actually had DeGale up by 4, but i think that my judgement was clouded due to waiting for the fight for so long. I watched it earlier again today on mute and there was no way Groves won that fight in my opinion

DeGale at least backed Groves up. At no point did DeGale look in any trouble from Groves punches. Surprisingly he looked the stronger man.

That surprised me coming into the fight you got the feeling that groves was some kind of 1 dimensional fighter with only a big right hand to keep the fight interesting but Degale looked the bigger puncher in the ring
