The odds seems good for this, but is this fight very likely to be a stoppage even if Alvarado fights smart?

I see it. Alvarado can win rounds and if he stays out of danger he can win

I think he obliged Rios too much and I think alvarado and not Rios is better positioned to adjust

Soon as Alvarado gets hit, all bets are off. Forget strategy. It'll be WWIII again. They might as well fight it in a phone booth. I see the same ending, but a shorter fight.

ALvarado has a high chance of winning if he chose to box

Agreed, I'm not convinced that it's a sure win for Rios.

If Alvarado chose to box smart, and use his range, he might be able to break Rios down and take him out.

    But he wont.

    Rios TKO6.

I dropped some V-bread on it :deal

Now I'm a hope we don't get a trigger happy ref that stops the damn fight at the first sign of danger, and it might just pay off

If Alvardo boxes intelligently and doesn't get into a brawl he can win by a wide UD. Rios doesn't know how to box.

Alvarado said himself that this fight will end up being a brawl. Rios probably stops him again, but that being said I bet on Alvarado and the over.

    :deal

He's gotta keep the jab up and his footwork moving. Gotta guard the bodyshots. If bodyshots are landing, he will start languishing on the ropes or in the expected phonebooth war, and lose.

If he can keep his feet and jab up, and drop his power, he will SLOW down Rios. He did it in the last fight when he maintained space and dropped his right. He may even crack Rios's granite chin from wear and tear in the late rounds

Alvarado admitted he got caught into a brawl the first fight and says he's going to box more this fight.

Dudes, this is NOT going to happen. Rios is being groomed for a fight with pacquiao. Alvarado will NOT get a decision. No way in hell.

Rios has no defense, Abril beat him but got robbed. If Alvarado doesn't get into a brawl and fights smart, then he will out-box Rios and get the UD.
