Was anyone annoyed by the commentary down the stretch tonight? The commentary was pretty good for the undercard, but as that main event went on, Bernstein just kept throwing out meaningless numbers and it seemed like every single damn round there was unofficial score updates. It was just overkill and awkward. Roy Jones as usual was good, and Lampley was good some of the time, but I had to mute the commentary it was so bad. All I kept thinking at the end was Pacquiao Bradley I when Jim Lampley nearly had a cow when he heard Pacquiao lost. He and everyone else at HBO was sure he beat Bradley. A better broadcast could have really added a lot to the telecast, it just really fell flat. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. Like a KO can happen at any time, and it was just like they packed it in heading into the 12th round like it was already over becaue they knew Floyd would just run away. Not only that, but in between rounds, they ONLY showed Floyd Mayweather's corner, never Manny Pacquiao's corner?
