Yep, that's his problem - he "looks more puffed out than he actually is". He's just one of those fighters that looks really poor when shipping punishment or trading. He has this big air of vulnerability when he decides to swing for the fences, especially later in fights when the low lead hand and slope-shoulders make it look like he is totally gassed. Couple all that up with a big old gingery head and pale skin...? Well, he's lucky he doesn't always get stopped.
