i reckon hes on at least half a million dollers. they could have gone to purse bids and got 25% of the purse so had to be good money.
Just over £250k gross is very good money for a limited fighter like Lockett. If he makes £5K a WBU defence, then the Pavlik windfall is the equivalent of 50 WBU defences.
Most people's logic seems to be "Lockett won't win, so I won't support him." Pathetic. :barf Here is a British boxer looking to pull off the upset of the year and win the linear middleweight title, but he's getting far too little love on this forum. So what if it's three to one, four to one or a million to one against? Get behind number one, I say. :bbb
i have been all aboard the Pavlik express for a while now. i just hope lockett does not get blown away in the opening stanza. this is a horrible missmatch, lockett has zero chance, niche, nil, nada. for all of you who think he has a punchers chance, watch pavlik v miranda. miranda is a puncher and he gets it handed to him. you should come to the same conclusions as me.:deal
That's not the case at all. Most people are actually supportive, even though he has little chance of winning.
From what I've read about him talking of Pavliks slowness I think Lockett is gonna come out and try and fight in the style Gavin rees won his title. Only problem is Lockett isn't Joe Calzaghe, and that style wont work for him.
Thy 1st thought is that lockett will give of himself a most noble effort. By lucifers fork he has a chance.
